As mentioned in yesterday's post, today is departure day for Montreal - woot! Two suitcases, 10 pair of shoes (yes, 10), and one fully charged camera battery...Canada, here I come!

Off I go to catch my plane...but not before leaving you with a little flight of your own ;-)

Let me give everyone a quick heads-up...I leave bright and early tomorrow morning for a 2 week work trip in Montréal. I am certainly going to try my darnedest to keep up with the daily posts but the 80+ hour work weeks may put a little glitch in the matrix. My apologies in advance if the posts are a bit sporadic.

Now, enough with logistics...back to the subject at hand! Today we are turning it up a notch and talking SUPER action! Be it with a trampoline for assistance or simply mad skills, some people take action to a whole new level :)

Today is Memorial Day, a US holiday which commemorates the military men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice - that of their lives - while serving their country. Today's shots, taken across the country for which they died, are in honor of them :)

I love how I can look at certain photographs and am brought back to an era of time gone by. While the shot depicts a scene from the here and now, something about it just brings a very classic feel. That's how I feel about today's shots...welcome to the world of the vintage feel action shot :)

In Memory...

We're taking an action break today, in memory of Dr. Jeffrey Tyler, a very active member and volunteer of the ACVIM who passed away this week.

Dr. Tyler's dedication to the field of veterinary medicine was impressive and he will be remembered fondly by the many, many lives he touch. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with his surviving family members, which include his wife Carolyn and their 8 children.

Take a moment today to tell those you love how much they mean to you....

Nearly two weeks to the day, my laptop is back and fully recovered from it's nasty crash...and what a long two weeks it's been! I'm working fast and furiously to get all the great actions shots reorganized and sorted and hope to be back to my regular, multiple shot posts by next week.
